Joyce glances at the boy in the doorway, furrowed brows firmly in place, and kindly dismisses, “We’ll be out in a minute.” Her attention quickly returns to Will, but he’s still looking at Mike. The cogs turn in his head. He’s telling his mom the truth because he needs to know, for certain, that the future Vecna showed him won’t come to fruition. But really, if Vecna wanted to show him something cruel, something vicious, it wouldn’t be his mom or Jonathan.
It would be Mike.
In the split second before Mike turns to leave, Will makes his decision.
“Actually, you should hear this too.”
