Summary
It isn’t his fault. If he were currently atop his glorious high horse, he’d point out how it almost always isn’t. Issa and Samir are miles ahead of him—and just about anyone else in history—when it comes to creating insanity. Shit-stirriers at their very core.
He did enable it, though. And that mostly came from a selfish place, which obviously makes it worse.

Summary
“Um,” is what comes out of Paul Baker’s mouth. “It’s- I messed up.”
“Oh?” Anton says, suddenly interested. As if he thought Issa’s incessant force must’ve been inspired by something null, but now sees a reason to continue standing there, listening. “Ohkay. That’s rare. Color me curious.”
-- Or: Paul Baker says the wrong name.

Summary
Eddie is in love. Prematurely in love. He paused the video before the man got the chance to speak, before any sound even hit his ears. And yet, here he is. Practically drooling.
It’s a video of this guy. Like, someone else is taking it. Weird. He notes the username, Jeannie Grey, and makes a safe assumption this isn’t the profile of Mr. Darling Face. What a shame. He would’ve earned a thirst follow.
-- Or: Eddie encounters a video of Steve on TikTok.

Summary
“I can’t stay, man, I had to- like, pre-schedule myself to get this slot,” Samir says to a couchbound Paul Baker, shoving his foot into a shoe. “Anton!”
And there it is, the inevitability of facing what you’ve been running from. Anton’s least favorite way that reality bites.
-- Or: Anton takes care of Paul Baker.

Summary
“Tell me to get up and I’ll get up,” Anton says. And he means it. He’d do just that, then apologize before going back upstairs and never bringing it up again. Easily.
Anton watches as Paul Baker leans his head into the back of the couch—which could be interpreted in too many ways. Defeat. And what would that mean? Or irritation. Please don’t be that, anything but that. Maybe worry? Understandable, although so 60 seconds ago since Anton decided to throw that feeling away and no longer wants to examine it until it’s slapping him across the face tomorrow.
-- Or: Anton, somehow, ends up in Paul Baker’s lap.

Summary
Steve is leaving for college. Eddie is staying behind. That was always the plan.
The whole summer, the gang has been inseparable—late nights, bad movies, and one last set of disposable camera photos to mark the end of it. But when Eddie gets his pictures developed, every single one is of Steve. And suddenly, everything he’s been avoiding comes into focus.
Steve just laughs, holding on tighter, and Eddie knows he could get away if he really wanted to. Steve isn't that strong. But Steve is warm against him, all sun-kissed skin and damp, and when he lets go, Eddie feels the absence immediately.
He hears a click.
He turns to Nancy.
"Did you just take a photo?""Uh-huh."
Eddie groans.
"Don't photograph this moment, Jesus. I thought you wanted good moments."Nancy smiles.
"This is a good moment."Bookmarked by loopforever

Summary
It’s almost like — like Buck’s holding a possible thing in his hands, fragile and fledgling, born too early. It’s not the first time he’s felt this way, with Eddie. It’s happened before, mostly in kitchens.
“Did that guy tell you the name of the suite he put us in?”
The corner of Eddie’s mouth lifts. There, Buck supposes, is his answer.
“Yeah. Honeymooners, huh? Should we tell him about our disaster of a trip?”
His stomach lurches. God. Eddie’s taking this in stride; Buck should be thankful for it. Instead, he’s afraid he’ll be sick all over their shoes.
or: a pining buck has to navigate the Emotional Saw Trap that is the road trip back from new mexico. eddie, quite literally, comes along for the ride.

Summary
Sometimes Ilya sees Shane and all he wants to do is bite him. Not in a sexy way, although that comes and goes, too, but in a way that scares him. It’s big, how badly Ilya wants to sink his teeth into his boyfriend, shake. He wants to be tucked in Shane’s chest, all the way under his ribs, like somehow by devouring him Ilya is the one who will get to crawl inside him and live there.
Most of the time Ilya can divert this urge of his. He’ll suck marks down Shane’s neck and that will be enough, or he’ll bring Shane a snack and watch him eat it, the way his throat bobs as he swallows. But there’s something about today that makes it so when Ilya walks by Shane on the couch, he just knows none of that will work this time.
(what do you do when you love your boyfriend so bad it physically hurts you??? oh you crawl under his sweatshirt to live there)
