Nightmare rolled onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. He felt himself on the verge of tears and tried to blink them away. Stupid emotions. He knew this loneliness would pass, it always does, but the fact that it happens in the first place makes him irritated to no end. After all these years, his body still couldn't accept the fact that he's not getting a mate? or a pack for that matter? It would be funny, though he couldn't find it in him to laugh.
It's nights like these that Nightmare is forced to remember that, at the core of his Soul, he was still an Omega, despite his hardest efforts to pass-by as other.|

At least, that's what the wider Multiverse thought. That's what Dust and Horror thought. But Killer, Killer knew better. Killer knew his king would never leave him. Nightmare was cruel but surely, he wasn’t heartless enough to leave his most loyal servant behind? Killer couldn’t accept that!
After all, for all of Killers perceived spunk and independence, deep down he really was just a puppet, a puppet whose puppet master everyone believed was dead. They were wrong though. They had to be! Killer couldn’t outlive his king. That would mean he broke his promise. And Killer has done a lot of harm, he’d told a lot of lies, but he has yet to break a promise.
