Norton's eyes widened and Naib suddenly fell silent and wanted to keep silent until the grave, because oh my god what had he done? He looked away and pretended he hadn't said anything, hoping that maybe Norton would ignore it or think he was being hallucinatory.
“When are we doing it?” he asked, his gaze growing increasingly uncertain.
Naib felt as if he had shot Bambi's mother. Because he knew, he knew full well how this would end, the tiny seed of Norton's confidence in bed that had been nurtured with such care, had died, perhaps forever.
