Chip barely processed his question as his mind tunnel visions on the triton in front of him. Was Gillion always this beautiful? Gill was without his usual armor, making his toned arms visible for all to see, and Chip certainly saw them. Chip noticed everything, the way his muscles shifted as he crossed his arms, how his seaweed green hair perfectly framed his face, his perfect jawline and award winning smile. His perfect teal lips were slightly downturned in concern, Chip wanted to kiss that expression off his face. Chip felt his flame tattoos begin to creep up his neck, threatening to crawl onto his face. ”

The only people she has to keep her afloat is a brother learning to cope with a life changing disability and his boyfriend dealing with parentification and a family on the verge of crumbling. At least the world didn't stop spinning in the bottom of the mines or on that cliffside.
They just don't know that there is a tiny consequence to their bad decisions and unhealthy coping mechanisms whether they get their shit together or not.

Summary
Sebastian finally got what he wanted: an apartment in the city, a good job in an office, and the privacy to prove to everyone he's more than what they think... until his company lays off 50% of his department, and he's suddenly in free fall again. The decision to move back home is a delicate (shitty, in his opinion) one. He's been gone for three years, and hasn't really kept up with anyone back in the Valley except for Sam. Really, only his mom seems excited for him to come back. Not to mention there's an irritating new farmer whom everyone seems to love except him... but maybe she'll be good for redefining his image.
Dot has lived in the Valley for over a year now, and she's finally settled into the semblance of a new normal. That is until her best friend's older brother moves back to the Valley and causes a tidal wave in his wake. Everyone seems to have an opinion about him, none of them very positive, but there's something about him...
This is a story with fake dating, small town romance, and starting over that makes the characters work for their version of a happy ending.
