Alex took a deep breath. He didn’t answer for a few moments. “I had to adapt to this situation very quickly. I didn’t know of any of this until yesterday. I thought my brother was dead. He’s not. I need to get back to him. I need to get back to camp so we can arm those people with these guns.” He tapped the bag.
“All that for people you don’t even know?” John crossed his arms. “You’re risking your life for a bunch of strangers?”
Alex frowned. “If I’m remembering correctly, you’re the one who saved me back when I was trapped by walkers. Because if you were in that situation, you would want someone to do the same for you,” He paused. “Am I wrong?”---

Summary
It's early spring, and Ghost and Soap go for a walk.
"You sure I can't carry something?" he asked as he came up beside him. He didn't get a response besides a fondly amused huff from Simon. The man had been so insistent that Johnny not be lugging anything around today, and it still felt strange sometimes to be on the receiving end of that.
Before Simon, it had always been him to fill that role, and now... well, Ghost seemed to enjoy doing things like that for him. Just as much as Johnny liked to take care of him in return. It was just another way they worked well together.
