Summary
It reminds her of being a kid again. Of clinging to her big brother’s legs in hopes of stopping him from escaping the house to school or to play with the other boys in the street. Back then, Bucky would crouch down in front of her, promising that he’d be back soon and they could play together then. He’d never lied to her, always coming back to her at the end of the day, usually with Steve in tow, and telling her all about the adventures he’d had while out.
She wants to make him promise again. Promise to come back to her and tell him all about his “adventures”.
But Bucky can’t make that promise this time, and she can’t ask it of him.
