Matt’s eyes shine with a new kind of delight. Jay’s said a lot of dumb things, but thinking that’s even a question is the worst he’s been yet. “Well, obviously. Stupid question.”
“Do you think I could get a demonstration?” Jay asks, flashing his own puppy dog eyes- as if he’d ever need to. “You know, just so I know what to expect if it ever happens for real.”(Jay wants to lose weight; Matt refuses to let that happen. What was once manipulation becomes a game.)
