Summary
Despite the ice under his feet, Flame's rage runs hot in his veins. He wants to fight with all his might, to give these men hell for what they did, but he's consumed by revenge so great that it slowly transforms into grief of the worst kind, the kind that makes him weak, overwhelmed by emotions he never quite learned how to manage.
During his battle against the Mist, Flame is incapacitated by a sneak attack. Upon waking up, he encounters an unexpected visitor.

He dreads the moment he reaches it anyway; all these hours underground have made his eyes so used to the dark that the brightness of the morning sun could very well blind him completely.

Summary
Tim makes his way towards the Batcomputer, and Jason, swallowing any remnants of his pride, trails behind him. Tim pays no mind to him as he opens the Scarecrow case file and starts typing away. Loud clanking sounds fill the room with every key pressed, and Jason is left wondering if he should still make an effort.
“Timmy. Come on. I’m trying to make amends here.”
Tim jerks his head towards him with sharp eyes and furrowed brows before quickly turning back to the files on the screen. He keeps typing, adding in to his report, adding nothing to their already one-sided conversation.Despite being on good terms with the Bats, Jason still insists on doing things on his own, much to Tim's discontent.

Summary
Wordlessly, Dennis opens his arms to her. She falls forward, leaving her forehead to rest against his shoulder. They don’t hug. They never really do. But for them, this is enough: Trinity’s breathing evening out as the silence stretches out between them, Dennis looping one arm around her shoulders and patting her head gently. It’s a comfortable dance they do around their pasts, of memories they’d prefer to only allude to. Dennis thinks of it less of avoidance, but more of leaving things in the past in favour of making brighter futures, of living days that aren’t entwined with the existences of their ghosts. Maybe one of his brothers would call him unrealistic. Maybe they’d say that all roads eventually lead back to Broken Bow. Dennis has dreams of being a dreamer, though.
Dennis comes back from a night shift to find Trinity crying in her room. He's still not entirely sure on how to approach the whole comforting people when they're crying thing, but he'd like to think that he's doing the best he can.
