Neil prayed he didn’t have to experience loss of this. Never again, he promised himself. Todd was his to care for. Too bad neither of them knew that the most characteristic thing about first love is that it always comes to an end, no? But right then, in Henley Hall, almost an hour before Neil’s debut performance, they were hopeful. And that was right for the young Poets they were.
In the timeline of this AU, surprise surprise, nobody dies, everyone lives!! Mr Keating stays at Welton Academy, all Poets happily graduate and (perhaps not so happily) go to their destined colleges. Neil Perry, on the other hand, listens to his father, and Harvard becomes the university of his choice. Surprisingly, the young Poet cannot know what will happen to him when he befriends the grumpy, autistic Gregory House at his first job in Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, New Jersey. -
