Summary
“Ridiculous, isn’t it?” Sam’s voice distracted him from his quiet calm thoughts and made him turn his head to the right.
“What?” for a moment he forgot that Sam said anything at all because when he turned around he noticed what he was relaxing with his head bent forward towards the phone in his hands. The dim sunlight reflected right on the left of his face and painted it in warm shade. His eyelashes were curled at the very ends and his eyes moved fast as he read something on his phone screen.
“That bathrobe,” Sam lifted his head and his finger expertly locked his phone as he dropped it in his lap before leaning back on the couch and resting his head on the back of it. His head turned and those big eyes caught his.
or: Sam has a staring problem and Bucky is disgusted because feelings exist.

Summary
That pull felt like vibranium induced ropes wrapping around his wrists, ankles, and neck and pulling him back. Back into that white nothing, complete blankness where he trashed but it was fruitless because when he was pulled back, the Winter Soldier stepped up to take the wheel and he couldn’t fight him. They were two pieces of one but back then the Soldier was the leading part who in a way could be considered a safe haven – if only he took those memories and those murders with him when he was sent back into that quiet space in the back of his brain.

“Are you implying that Hydra implanted homosexuality in you?” Sam’s eyebrows furrowed and Bucky couldn’t stop himself. A quiet laugh escaped his mouth and he could feel an actual smile on his face.
“That part was certainly there before Hydra, I can assure you,” his throat felt like a fucking desert so Bucky quickly grabbed his beer and gulped the rest of it down. He really wished alcohol affected him because he really needed it now. Since when he was so bad at this?
