“What did you call it?” Simon asked, placing his hand on Grace’s hip. His fingers slipped under the man’s shirt, causing his angel to moan. Simon loved how vibrant blushes looked on Grace. His angel looked like a tomato. He couldn’t help but tease the man. “When we talked about EDEN and Earth? Something exchange?”
Ryland whimpered as Simon began rubbing his side. Every touch was electric. God, he was sensitive. He swallowed, throat clicking loudly. “Cultural exchange,” Grace answered.
“Yeah. Cultural exchange.” Simon chuckled, “Let’s do that. Let me show you how we make life.” He pulled Grace to him, chest to chest.

Summary
In Mikoshi, V makes a choice few people could make: he lets Johnny keep his body and leaves with Alt past the Blackwall. Johnny is left picking up the pieces of a life he didn’t think he’d get and trying not to resent V for his sacrifice.
When Rogue discovers Johnny’s body in an Arasaka facility, frozen in cryogenic sleep and still viable, Johnny makes the mad dash to pull V back from beyond the Blackwall before it’s too late, before everything that makes V who he is is gone.
Even when they are both back in their bodies, nothing is simple. The path to saving V’s life leads them beyond the borders of the city and out toward a past V thought he left behind him.

“Hold on, what about Johnny?”
Johnny groans. “Here we go.”
“What happens to him is entirely dependent on your choice,” Alt says. “As it stands now, he could take over your body as it would accept him as its new owner without problems. Or, should you decide to keep your body, he can merge with cyberspace and become a part of me.”
Johnny spreads his arms wide and looks expectantly at V.
“No, no. That can’t be it,” V mumbles, “There has to be another way.”--
Fix-it fic. What if there was a way to save both V and Johnny?
A sort of sequel to my previous work in this series, though it can be read as a standalone.October 2023 update: This story has been slightly revised regarding phrasing and readability. There are no changes to the actual story. However, I might add another part to it in the future.
