OR: Clint is still dealing with the loss of Natasha, (but AU the Avengers live in the tower just like in all those 2012 Avengers fics) and Bucky made cookies.

“Hey there, everyone,” Glenn drawled into the mic. He spoke in a lower voice than he did with Darryl before, smoother and almost seductive as his gaze swept over the room. After a moment, his eyes finally found Darryl’s - not finally, he scolded himself, you sound insane - and he winked, shooting a finger gun vaguely at the crowd. Darryl let out a shaky breath. “Thank you for having us, Anaheim. Hope you’re all ready for us to rock your world, huh?”
Darryl took a swig of his beer just to break eye contact, downing the last few drops of his can, and when he lowered it, Glenn wasn’t meeting his gaze anymore. Darryl couldn’t tell if he was thankful for that or not.
Darryl rather resolutely did not like men. He was worried that Glenn was, in fact, going to rock his world regardless.

Darryl wasn't sure why everyone in his life, including his almost ex-wife, was so convinced that he liked men. At this point, the only way to prove that he didn't want to date a man was... to actually date a man, and hate it. Because he would hate it. He knew he would. Surely.
