Greg Lestrade is, probably, an alcoholic. His wife is cheating on him, his life is falling apart around him, and Mycroft Holmes is complicating matters considerably. After a case lands on his desk that turns out to not be his case after all, Greg finds himself pulled back into the orbit of a man he once did something costly for, something neither of them have ever addressed and something Greg had spent a long time trying not to examine too closely. He's not sure what's worse: the twelve years of silence, or the growing suspicion that Mycroft's been as aware of it as he has.
