Summary
Lucky for him he stumbled upon a warehouse. He knew who it belonged to, Dr. Emmett Brown, a scientist. People throughout Hill Valley thought he was a lunatic, based on the eccentric experiments he conducted anyway. Marty had seen him in the town square once setting up something connected to weather research. That was a little weird.

My take on how Marty met Doc! This isn't far from what Bob Gale confirmed to be their first meeting (its scarily accurate actually considering I wrote this before I did my actual research), but of course I have my own twist on the story because the creative writing skills in me didn't let me rest until this was done. So enjoy, please!

Marty almost immediately reached a hand out to grab the phone on his bedside table and dial a number. That number being Doc's of course.

In which Marty has recurring nightmares of Doc's death. After a particularly bad one he finally confides in the scientist by calling him in the middle of the night asking if he could go to his warehouse. Comfort ensues.
