My dearest Childe,
It has been a long time since we last spoke. I hope you have been in good health, and that all of the days after your leave from Liyue have brought you much luck and prosperity. I have heard from the Traveler that you are traversing many parts of Teyvat along with the Fatui. I must say, I am curious to know of your adventures and the lands you have visited.
I will admit, I have been missing you dearly. Recently, it has occurred to me that much time has passed without resolving our conflict after our exchange with La Signora, and for that, I am sorry. I truly hope to see you again, and wish to no longer rely on time to bring us back together. There are many things left for us to do, and it would be lovely to experience the streets of Liyue Harbor with you once more.
If there is anything you need from me, Childe, I will be here. Do not be afraid to reach out to me under any circumstances. I await your response with much anticipation,

Summary
The first time it happens, it’s over tea. Which is, perhaps, ironic—considering how many millennia Zhongli has spent mastering decorum, cultivating restraint, and sipping bitter osmanthus with the elegance of a dying dynasty. But no amount of godly poise can compensate for what comes out of Childe’s mouth when he says, too casually, too innocently:
“By the way, your thighs could crush a man. That’s a compliment.”
Zhongli chokes. There’s a very undignified sputter.
And then—
Then he is eight feet tall, scaled in radiant gold, horns spiraling like calligraphy into the air. His tail whips across the teacart and sends a priceless Liyue lacquer tray shattering against the far wall. His sleeves are obliterated. His cheekbones shimmer like sunlit topaz. His voice—when it returns—is several registers deeper and entirely too resonant for indoor use.
“I beg your pardon?”
In which Zhongli transforms into his dragon form every time he is flustered, and Childe ensures he is never not flustered.
