Xie Lian can feel his cheeks turning pink. They weren’t a couple though? He glances at Hua Cheng, and immediately proceeds to regret his decision. Hua Cheng’s face screams please please please please please, and if his previous expression wasn’t hard enough to resist, this one is basically impossible. Every single fiber in Xie Lian’s body is screaming at him to just go and say yes, but he knows that it’s the wrong thing to do. Lying doesn’t come easy to Xie Lian, and scamming was certainly in the category. He takes one last look at Hua Cheng, and squirms in his seat at the sight of Hua Cheng’s intense stare, as if attempting to hypnotize Xie Lian into agreeing. He slightly shakes his head, saying no, and Hua Cheng smirks as if this was a competition. The staring contest continues. Finally, Xie Lian breaks eye contact. Hua Cheng grins, because in his eyes, this was another game won. Xie Lian, however, says the exact opposite of what Hua Cheng expects.
