- Tôi đã cố gắng viết làm sao cho họ không quá bị thoát vai (out of character) nhưng mang đậm văn hóa Việt vào thời kỳ đó.
- Những bộ phim tôi đã tham khảo bối cảnh (Tiếng sét trong mưa, mùi đu đủ xanh).
