But Kageyama’s a cool dork, and Shouyou sort of wants to tell him this in a burst of emotion, but the words get stuck. “I want two by the way,” he says instead.
“Why do you get two?”
“Because I,” Shouyou says dramatically, “am your favourite.”
Then he rocks up onto his tippy toes so that he can reach Kageyama’s face, his body moving without consent from his brain. He plants a smooch – quick and playful – on Kageyama’s cheek, only just remembering to add a loud “mwah!” to make sure Kageyama knows that he’s only teasing.

Sometimes guests have strange requests, but this is the first time in Akaashi's three years as a server that anyone has actually surprised him.
“It’s my friend’s birthday,” said Kuroo, “and he hasn’t shut up all night about how pretty you are. I’ll give you 2,000 yen to kiss him.”
“I’m not kissing your friend,” said Akaashi, voice flat. “I’m a server, not a prostitute.”
“No, no, no,” said Kuroo quickly. He waved his hands, as if trying to erase that word from the air between them. “I don’t want it to be like that. I’m just trying to make him happy. Come on. 3,000 yen.”

“So. You sure do know a lot about plants, huh?”
It’s quite possibly the stupidest thing to come out of his mouth, and he doesn’t need Akaashi’s little huffed laugh to tell him that. His cheeks are flushing red before Akaashi even gets done saying, “I should hope so, considering I own a flower shop.”
“I — well, yeah. I meant that you know a lot about their meanings and stuff,” Bokuto amends. “I knew that roses were for love, but I didn’t really think about other flowers having deep meanings.”
“You’d be surprised how much you can communicate with flowers alone,” Akaashi says. “It’s helpful for when you can’t find the right words yourself. Might as well let nature take a stab at it.”

Summary
Kageyama Tobio leads a simple life: he goes to work and writes music for money, he goes home and writes music for himself. His only company being his beloved cat, Carrot, who is sweet and perfect and perhaps just a little bit spoiled. So when Kageyama takes Carrot to the vets for her annual check-up, only to be told by the vet that she is drastically overweight and needs to go on a diet, he is horrified. And rather insulted.
Reluctantly agreeing to put his cat on a diet, Kageyama is at first determined to simply put up with Hinata, his new vet, until Ukai recovers from his bad back and can return. But, unfortunately, things don't go quite to plan as Carrot becomes immediately smitten with Hinata, her owner following suit soon after.
(A romantic comedy AU; Kageyama, a music producer with a very fat cat, falls for Hinata the veterinarian.)
