A decade after the cancellation of the hit TV show L’manburg, Wilbur Minecraft and Tommy Innit are jobless but still living as if they’re in the glory days of their canceled show. The only one trying to actually move them along is Quackity, Wilbur’s long-suffering agent and on-and-off again but never-actual boyfriend who forces him to take a small role on season 2 of the up-and-coming TV show The Syndicate.

It’s a stupid thing to think. Utah’s drought isn’t going anywhere. And in the insipid metaphor of your life, Tommy has nothing to do with water. But it’s been a rainless few weeks, and at four fifteen in the morning, you wake to frigid rain and big, thumping knocks on the door. You open it, and then you put on your glasses to be sure that you’re seeing what you’re seeing.
“I want a feast of your fathers,” Tommy says. “I demand you grill me a cheese.”
(Tommy comes by for a visit. Many questions are asked, few are answered, and tours of Utah are given.)
