Summary
After sixty-two hours of non-stop work, all Chuuya wants is his bed. What he gets is his traitorous ex-partner curled up on his expensive suede sofa, delirious, shivering, and bleeding out from a wound that smells like rot. Dazai is hiding—from the Agency, from the Mafia, and from a new enemy that poisoned him with something No Longer Human can't nullify.
With all of Yokohama compromised, Dazai decided his only safehouse left was the one place no one would ever look: the penthouse of the man who hates him most. Chuuya is faced with a choice: throw the bastard out, or deal with the glowing, necrotic wound.

He had accepted the fact that he was born to be a vessel, a place where the restless could finally rest, a puppet for humanities desires. It did not matter that Bam himself had always been living on edge after all he had been through. The souls inside of him were forever tranquil, an oasis of serenity amidst the demanding, restless tower. However, one whisper lingered in the back of his mind, a whisper that was reminiscent of what he could have been. This presence loomed over him like a shadow; a past he could not erase, feelings he could only hope do not break him.

Chuuya is scrabbling frantically at Mori's hands around his throat, his eyes wide. His body glows a faint red, fizzles out like a cough.
"You can't even use your powers when you're like this, can you, Chuuya-kun?"
"Mori, he is hurt." Dazai's voice rasps with controlled anger.
Mori ignores him. "I can't tell where Dazai's plan begins and your stupidity ends, but regardless, such information should have never come out of that mouth of yours. What did you think? That such treachery will be forgiven and you will be made an exception? By the rules of the mafia, you are a traitor."

When one of Dazai's plans go too far, it inadvertently leads to Chuuya's death sentence. While in the dungeon cellars together facing the consequences, Dazai takes care of Chuuya and tries to save him.
