Summary
The voice came from behind him, but it also came from ahead of him, above, somehow below in the earth, spoken from the trees, the roots, the still hollows beneath where small animals found hovel, and all things carried the voice of a yokai on a wind without motion. Zoro ignored it, as one should; he wasn't one to be toyed with by men, and he wasn't about to start because this time it was something supernatural beckoning. Especially when the supernatural beckoned.

Summary
“Why,” he asks slowly, “did you put your gun down, Rosinante?” His voice carries, barely a whisper, over the cold-numb-ache settling into his chest.
His stupid, sweet little brother laughs at him. It’s a painful sound; neither of his lungs sound punctured, but a bullet lodged in the abdominal muscles makes breathing difficult, Doflamingo presumes. “Because you’re my brother,” he says. “I’m not killing my own family. Not for the Marines, not for myself, not for Law.”
So he lowers the gun. So he takes a step forward. Rosinante’s eyes, red-brown like hours-old blood, deeper than the shade of his own, almost… soften. Just at the edges. Like he has some hope; like underneath everything, he hopes Doflamingo takes him home.
He never gets the chance.
The last thing he remembers clearly is reducing that young Marine to a pile of sliced viscera, red arterial spray staining his coat and the snow beneath.

Summary
When they’re on the forecastle, with the helm just behind them and the figurehead casting them further in shadow, Usopp calls, “Raise the sails!”
Luffy’s gasp next to his ear is the best part of his entire day.
The sails unfold in a great rolling crash of canvas. Even the striped gaff swings out, catching the wind. The whole sloop gives a powerful lurch as if she’s eager to sprint out of port on the back of whatever gale blows along next.
And painted on the foresail, bold and bright and proud, is a grinning Jolly Roger in a yellow straw hat.
“That’s mine,” Luffy whispers, hushed and awed.
“Told you so,” Usopp says smugly.

Summary
There's a part of Zoro that is very aware of how he shouldn't find the idea of Law taking a blade to his flesh as appealing as he does, but sitting on the cold surface of Law's operating table he's honestly too far gone to care.
