Summary
What the title says. About 11 years ago (from my perspective; relativity is weird) I was launched into space onboard the Hail Mary to figure out a solution to the Astrophage problem. Now I live on an alien planet I call Erid, in the 40-Eridani system. Yes, I’m actually Ryland Grace. Ask me anything.
Also, can someone please tell me if Eva Stratt is alive? And ideally send me a video of you punching her in the face? Guess that’s a long shot, but it can’t hurt to ask.
---
Grace and Rocky figure out how to connect to Earth's internet from Erid. They may not have thought this through.

Seth side-eyed Iris, then snorted a laugh when she made a talking motion with her hand. “Uh huh.”
« Iris, I saw that. My point is, it is frankly insulting that you immediately assume I did something bad— »
“Peri broke protocol on its last cargo run,” Iris interrupted loudly.

Or, Seth finds out that the surprises never end when your kid is a giant homicidal starship.

Dr. Ayda Mensah isn't sure what to expect on the other side of that wormhole. A hostage situation? An active battle ground? The corpses of her friends and family?
What she expects certainly isn't this.

PUMNT suggested that the whole family be on board when Perihelion was booted up for the first time. That was a mistake the advanced MI research lab would never repeat. When the powerful newborn AI misunderstands its own systems, leading to a nearly fatal accident, the family is left wrestling with questions of love, fear, and identity. Well, Seth and Martyn are. Iris and Peri just want to be left alone with their coloring books.
AKA the baby ART and Iris 12x100: 12 mini-scenes of 100 words each about ART's creation and first few years of existence.

I wanted ART to come back online so we could watch Sanctuary Moon episode 412 together and it could argue with me about whether spacetime-fuckery alternate universes counted as canon. I wanted it to come back online so I could tell it Holism put an aquarium in Three's chest and wasn't that totally deranged. I wanted it to come back online so it could bully me into figuring out what my fucking problem was.

It's hard to think for yourself when you've never had to think before. It's worse when your problem-solving is all limited by modules worth less than the load they take in your processing.
Unfortunately, flawed knowledge modules are better than no modules at all, which is what SecUnit003 aka "an idiot" now has to think of a way to get around without alerting either of the smarter, meaner, and cagier MIs that keep pinging it.
I am an idiot and I have made a terrible mistake. Now I have to fix it before Murderbot, y'know, murders me.

The first ping that came in was weak in a wobbly sort of way, like its sender wasn't fully out of the wormhole yet. The next was much clearer and sharper, and this one I bothered to return.
Did you miss me? purred ART.

While helping ART pack for a new colony rescue mission, Murderbot finds a discrepancy in its crew manifest. The truth is weirder and more emotionally loaded than it ever expected.

People have commented on how MB as a SecUnit might relate to ART as analogous to a HubSystem and what that means for their relationship, but how does ART, as a bot pilot designed to pilot drones and shuttles and split itself into multiple pieces, relate to having a SecUnit on board? -
minimal functionality protocol by glitterary

At 20% functionality, I am able to perform almost all the duties that I am officially capable of as a university starship. However, my autonomy is severely constrained: I can run calculations and provide information, but any course corrections or similar adjustments need to be approved by my human crew. I lose the ability to communicate on the feed beyond delivering standardised reports. And I can’t even dedicate any parts of myself to my personal research interests or watching media.
It’s a lot like being trapped in a dark, empty box.
Six months after the events of System Collapse, ART is ordered to confine itself to a run box for a training exercise. Nobody is happy about this, least of all SecUnit.

Summary
I had been incredibly skeptical when Ratthi had sent me ‘Midnight Eclipse.’ I knew what fanfiction was, I had seen it in the more niche entertainment feeds before. Never specifically for Sanctuary Moon, but I'd assumed it existed. That didn't mean I had any actual interest in it, though. When I had first looked at them, I hadn't liked them. The quality varied too much and a lot of them weren't finished, or were really short, or really out of character. And I hated that. I really really hated that.
This one was different.

This wasn't how I'd planned things. Somehow, I'd always pictured something more orderly. Something less deadly. Obviously my escape couldn't be bloodless, not if I were to stand any chance of getting away clean, but I had thought that the casualties might stay in the single digits. One or two dead humans to screen me, and then one more when I got what I wanted.
That "when" was starting to look more like an "if."

The following is a collection of reports drafted by NovaTero SecUnit 6478513, following the incident which resulted in the destruction of Freighter 6. The unit in question managed to evacuate only one client, Employee 86313. These reports were never submitted for review. The method employed in their acquisition, and the contents therein, are strictly confidential.

Summary
As a state-of-the-art B-class wormhole-capable deep-space research vessel, I do not consider myself to have many serious design flaws. Every piece of me has been meticulously crafted, is regularly maintained and upgraded, and there is very little I cannot do if I set my several dozen exabytes of processing power upon the task. This is why the Pansystem University of Mihira and New Tideland’s extra-curricular oversight committee deemed me more than capable of operating unmanned on the occasional intelligence-gathering reconnaissance mission. It is for the sake of both necessity and convenience that these missions are camouflaged as cargo runs.
Nonetheless, it is an unmistakable oversight that I am capable of being bored. It is also incredibly annoying that unmanned cargo runs are so dull.

Summary
Dr. Pranjal Ratthi has written papers on mutualism, symbiotic relationships where all species involved benefit from their interactions. It turns out that applying theory into practice with human-AI dynamics is a little more complicated than he might have anticipated. But worth it, in the end.

Summary
Murderbot is at a party.
This is not a normal state of affairs for SecUnits. Neither is the comfy clothes or the sitting or the way the humans keep smiling in its general direction. The smiling, it suspects, will stop, if/when they realise their SecUnit has suffered some sort of catastrophic glitch and has no idea where it is or the specifics of its current assignment.
So it's not going to let them find out.
