Today on traffic, as we can see, the formerly fictitious aspects of a newcomer’s personality, Mr. Thomas Foley Sanders are currently running amok, amongst the many vehicles in today’s commute. However, Thomas is a rare case of someone who has enough internal strife that he feels the need to regularly bring out his aspects. For the rest of us, we either live in blissful, absolute ignorance, or neverending guilt.
Props to Mr. Sanders for trying to find his way through the deceptive caverns of the conscious and subconscious mind, but I would really rather get into our real traffic report, instead of talking about the state of vehicles in the city. This is boooooooring!”

There is a being that lives in the chemistry building of Haley-Dove Secondary. It has been there longer than anyone’s living memory, and nobody questions it anymore.
It’s a strange one, a space completely fuzzed out by something resembling static, but if that static could exist, could take up space, be real in a way static really can’t be.
The being lives on the third desk to the right, second from top, room 73. It seems to be on friendly terms with the thing that sometimes screams in the courtyard and the witch who lives in the woods surrounding the town. It doesn’t seem to like the slamming locker much, but it doesn’t hurt anyone, so nobody cares.
It lingers, at that desk, watching boys and girls and everyone in between study the sciences as the years go on, seeing the building as a boy’s school, then a bomb shelter, then a public school classroom, watching. Nobody knows what the being is, really, but it’s there, so nobody will say anything.

“Mrs. Dot, is it okay if they drink alcohol in your house?” he asks, a bit teasingly, but he’s genuinely asking.
“Of course! Be responsible though, and make sure you keep your glasses in the sink when you’re done, and definitely tell me or Larry if you feel strange during or after, alright?” Both Sloane and Elliott nod, while Kai hands his drink over to Dot, who takes it, helping him up to the other barstool on the island, as his friends go to the couch to sit on either side of Larry, who’s watching Steven Universe reruns on TV, humming along to the songs again.

He left at midnight, after muffling another scream into his sheets to make sure that nothing woke the house up. He walked in the empty, dark streets, purposefully, eyes darting left and right for safety’s sake. He walks all the way to his home island’s harbour, where, hidden away in a cave (ironic), Yellow waits for him.
(She’s always been patient with him, waiting for him to fly her, waiting for him to be confident enough to become her paladin in a true sense, now, waiting for him to come home with her.)

“Yeah Lance?” answers Shiro, from his place perched on his and Adam’s kitchen aisle. He’s looking at some files, that much Lance can tell, but they’re in a language he doesn’t know. Which isn’t hard to do, Lance only knows like, four well enough to read.
Besides, there are some more pressing matters at hand.
“What was your death like?” Lance would have tried to be more gentle with his question, but he currently doesn’t see a way to do it. Shiro visibly recoils, and Lance winces till Shiro puts his human hand on his shoulder, smiling reassuringly.
