Summary
He’s about to issue a third warning when Felix lifts his head from where he had tucked it against Jisung’s neck, and he can feel his hot breath follow a wet path along the side of his face, to the shell of his ear. Something wild thrums in Jisung’s blood when he feels petal soft lips brush the skin of his earlobe.
Then, “I like the scent of your sweat, Jisungie.”
The words shoot like a lightning bolt down his spine and hit him right behind the navel. For a dizzying second, his need almost feels violent as it overtakes him. His mouth waters with it, teeth aching, throbbing. He fights to swallow it down, like cutting edges of glass and gravel as it goes down his throat. Jisung had to put some distance between them and fast.
Jisung and Felix have been childhood friends since they were fourteen. Change is a big part of growing up, though, and even as they promised each other an unchanging forever and to always remain friends, some promises are impossible to keep amongst new budding emotions.

Summary
Jisung wants to walk fully clothed into the salt water. It’s late. They’ll miss the last train, but that was part of the plan from the very start: to make it an all-nighter. The older they get, the less time they spend together. College made meeting up easier—they were always on campus, one call and a few minutes’ walk from one another. It’s strange to think of how much has changed and how much hasn’t.
Glimpses of Jisung’s life as seen by the ocean.

Summary
It all falls into place then. He knew, of course, he knew, saw Felix’s face appear in the studio once he realized what was happening to him. It had been faint then, somehow. A truth so barely acknowledged that it lived only in the back of Hyunjin’s mind, a secret, wrapped in layers of paper so no one would ever take a glance at it, not even him, even though he knew it sat there, uncovered but solid. Real.
It’s different now that the secret had been dragged into the light, the paper torn to shreds, and there’s barely any surprise, his mind only catching up to what his body already knew, but his heart squeezes with the realization, surging through the pure, sweet taste of loving someone so deeply, only to sour when the thought hits him, that the flower growing in his chest and the petals making their way up his throat can only mean one thing:
He’s in love with Felix, but Felix doesn’t love him back.

Summary
Friendships are forever… until they’re not.
Thirteen-year-old Jisung loves two things: cheesecake and spending his summer holidays with his three best friends in the whole world in a small, coastal town in the south of the country. Every year they reunite and have the best time of their lives. But seventeen-year-old Jisung knows better: after the summer of 2014 things won’t be the same. Young adult Jisung doesn’t want to go back after what happened that summer. He doesn’t want to relive what drifted them away.
This is a story of self-discovery, of growing up and falling apart. A story of four best friends and love and feelings and problems and confrontations. And summer, always summer. And, of course, the end of a friendship. It is centered on a teenage, seemingly perfect group of friends, who spend every summer gathered on a small town. However, not every summer is the same—when something happens during the summer of 2014, the four of them split and their friendship ends abruptly. Five years later, just before heading for college, Jisung is forced to meet with them again and, hopefully, make amends with the past that haunts him.
