Summary
For as long as he can remember, Zuko knew he would have no say in who he would marry. Anyone familiar with basic royal customs would realize it as well. Marriage wasn’t a luxury or some grand display of love; marriage was for convenience and a power move if done correctly. It meant nothing to Zuko. He was raised with the knowledge that he would one day be sent off to live with a stranger for the sake of his nation, and it didn’t matter if he ended up happy or not. His happiness didn't matter.
All this to say, when his father tells him that he is to marry a stranger from the Southern Water Tribe and use their marriage as an opportunity to spy on the enemy, Zuko knows he has no choice. It's just...he didn't expect this stranger to be so kind to him.

“So, the solution feels simple,” Yoongi says, not realizing Namjoon’s terror, or not caring. “For Jungkook to join the coven, you must, as well.”
He feels himself start to shake his head before he realizes he’s doing it. “That- that isn’t necessary, sir.”
“My coven gets what they want, Namjoon-ssi. They want Jungkook. Jungkook wants you. Therefore, I will have you, as well,” he says as if it is that simple. It probably is to him.

He’s never seen it this bad, not on someone who hasn’t already gone fully feral. That’s not what they’re dealing with, here; if the fledgling was feral, Yoongi and Seokjin would already be fighting for their lives.
This one is holding on.
Yoongi ignores the trash and kneels next to him. He tilts the boy’s head back. The Ash marbles his face with a black spiderweb, cracks his lips, but he’s breathing, barely. Yoongi feels for a heartbeat. It’s there, but heavy, slow, even for a vampire.
