Steve Rogers is about to sneak out of Avengers Tower one night, when he overhears his teammates in the kitchen, speculating about his sex life. Steve experiences a wide range of emotions while listening to the argument.
"That probably keeps you warm at night, huh? Picturing the Cap grabbing a guy by his dog tags, forcing them down on their knees," Clint's voice dropped half an octave. "I bet the Pinnacle of Human Perfection can choke a guy on his cock, come down his throat, get hard again in no time, and nail. the. lucky. son. of a. bitch. through. the. wall." The way Clint's voice broke up his speech made Steve wish he could see whatever gestures accompanied his words. He grunted when he was finished, as though from exertion. "What do you think, Tash, just how Superhuman is our Super Soldier's Superhuman Sex Drive?"

“What do you do with your friends?” Bucky asks finally, looking back at the doc.
There’s a surprised pause, and Doc Adams looks like he’s thinking. Wondering how much will incriminate him, perhaps. Worrying about giving away personal information to the Winter Soldier. Bucky’s 90% sure Grant Adams is a fake name anyway, and he knows that people aren’t certain he’s been de-programmed. God forbid the infamous assassin finds out where his shrink lives.
“We have monthly game nights,” the doc says. “Get together, get some drinks and snacks, maybe order pizza.”
“Games?” Bucky repeats blankly. “Like what, Monopoly?” That’s a game that isn’t going to make him any friends. Doc Adams looks a little embarrassed. “What?”
“Well, mostly… Tabletop gaming. Dungeons and dragons, that sort of thing.”
“Dungeons and what?” Bucky stares at him. Is his therapist into kinky, BDSM sex shit with his friends? If he is, Bucky’s first instinct is to think the future is way more open-minded than he realised, and his second instinct is to move his therapist further up in his estimation. Summary
Four years after the Battle of New York, Clint has created a stable life for himself and his young daughter, free of the dangers of SHIELD work.
The Winter Soldier turned himself in to the Avengers, expecting a death sentence or lifetime of imprisonment. Instead, he found absolution and an invitation to join the team. He is still adjusting to life as an Avenger when he meets Clint Barton and his daughter.
The young man that Bucky Barnes used to be was wholeheartedly enthusiastic about meeting his soulmate, but Bucky is not sure there’s a place for him in his soulmate’s life anymore.
Clint has spent his whole life dreading meeting his soulmate, drawing false conclusions from the hurtful words that were spoken in haste. They are both drawn to each other and are willing to give this a try, but will have to work together to overcome the shadows of their past.
Excerpt:
It’s one of the largest soulmarks Bucky has ever seen. The script in Bucky’s neat cursive handwriting starts at the crest of one shoulder and arcs below Clint’s collarbones to end at the crest of the other shoulder, golden letters that no tattoo ink has ever been able to replicate.

“What’s a guy like you doing in a place like this?” Clint says, instead.
Barnes snorts. “Having a drink,” he says, then gives Clint another one of those appraising looks. “You a professional?” he says, after a second, and Clint is momentarily confused.
A professional what?
And then he realizes Barnes must be talking about pool, and Clint huffs a laugh. “Only when there’s money involved,” he says, smirking, and Barnes kind of nods, like that makes any sort of sense.
Then Barnes nods again, a little more firmly, and says “You got a place?”
Which is about the point that Clint realizes that he’s not meeting the Winter Soldier in a bar, he’s being picked up by the Winter Soldier in a bar and-
“Yeah,” he croaks, clears his throat, thinks wildly that he’s really fucking glad Kate has Lucky for a few days, and says “Yeah, I got a place.”
Or, how Bucky got his groove back.
(And Clint too, but it was a different sort of groove)
