Trauma and anxiety and all the patience and love to weather through it all together. I read "Honey, You're Familiar Like My Mirror Years Ago, first. Even though it was written after Baby, Do You See Me, it's a prequel that gave me a lot more context and weight of severity, making all the sweet moments all the sweeter than if I had read this the other way around. Loved it. The word count is a lot by the numbers, but while reading, it doesn't even feel like much. I wanted it to go on forever because sureaintmebabe created a lovely little bubble for us. -

Upon seeing Yoongi, the kid frowns, “Who are you?”

Idk if the writer is a middle schooler or a foreigner. It starts off fine, good even, but after the midway point, the quality steeply declines, reads like a wattpad story, and is rushed. I was greatly disappointed.

Witch AUThere's some hurt/comfort, borderline e2l, but Kookie does a good job compartamentalizing. A very good fic that made me cry/tear up. The end doesn't 100% give a conclusion to their relationship, but it doesn't reach a satisfying tentative turning point that sets us up for a Part 2/Book 2.

One thing about Jimin is that he likes to have at least one rival at every place he goes: when he was at school he got higher scores than everyone in his class; when he’s walking on the street, he walks faster than the other person alongside him; he’ll dance better than everyone else when he goes to clubs; and he’ll manage to hit the paper ball inside the trash while his coworker who’d tried it just before couldn’t. It’s all silly things and it’s fun and, to be honest, it encourages him to do his best every time. It’s a good thing, it really is.
Well, at least, until he starts working with Jungkook. Before then, all of Jimin’s rivalry was just in his head, but Jungkook seems to know what’s going on and he does his very best just to get on Jimin’s way of being at the top of everything. An asshole move, if you ask Jimin.
Things get a little offhand when the company Jimin and Jungkook work for plans a secret Santa and Jimin has to get Jungkook a gift. It’s the worst, really, because now he can’t stop thinking about his rival, because Jimin has to give Jungkook the best gift ever, because he has to be the best, he has to win. Win what? Serial Killer Thriller AUHobismang: Come Hungry. Leave Stuffed.
I've read two other fics by this author, and they don't disappoint. Their stories are always so neatly and messily intricate. Their characters always have extensive backstories and tangible motivations that are interconnected. Their fics always have everything you can want from romance, fluff, crack, angst, hurt/comfort, smut, found family, action, social politics, politics politics, corporate politics, and all the little things in between. They always have all these fleshed out background characters and third party characters that adds to the story and never distracts or detracts from the main plotline. And while, their stories don't pass the traditional bechdel test, I think we can all relatively agree that alphabet mafia fanfics tend to gender bend the traditional roles, so I'm happy with the female characters Hobismang presents in her fics, however minor or major they are.
This fic specifically was THRILLING 1000%. You just never knew what was gonna happen next, but there were so many pretty and horrifying sprinkles that kept the pages turning. OT7 does take a while to all finally be in the same room, but I personally wasn't bothered by that because of how pivotal each role the members had in forwarding the plot in their arcs. It all made sense. While this one did not make me bawl like their Vampire AU fic, this one still had me at the edge of my seat and bingeing this into the wee hours of the morning. You will not regret digging into this fic.

Desperate to avoid confrontation or even conversation Namjoon ducks into the hotel bar for a drink and a minute to come up with a plan.
Jimin has just finished photographing the dullest wedding he's ever worked when a handsome if frazzled man plops down in the seat next to him. He realizes they've met before in passing but that tiny connection starts a conversation. In a moment of panicked desperation Namjoon asks Jimin to pretend to be his date for the rest of the evening.
Neither of them has any idea how Jimin's answer will create a ripple effect, changing the lives of everyone they know and potentially costing Namjoon everything.

Corporate Fake Dating Gay Awakening AU
One of the authors has been writing since 2021, and maybe the other author writes on other platforms, but I can't help feeling like this is a debut fic and it is perfect. Perfect fluff. A lovely support system. Sure, you have romance that is the driving force of this fic, but it also has a fantastic plot filled with career politics that seems to have a more adult understanding on how corporations and companies are run. I love the characters and how reactionary and responsive they are. It always feels like something is happening and nothing drags. The smut was also quite satisfying. I think anyone and everyone will enjoy this fic!PLEASE NOTE: For those hardcore jungkook stans/OT7 stans, jk does make a few appearances, but he is not a major player in this plot; he is more of a symbolistic catalyst. That doesn't mean the authors love him any less. In fact, he stars in quite a few of the author's oneshots. So please, don't go for their throats. If you're going to be sensitive to that, just don't read the fic and/or move onto their other fics to get your jk fix/fics (ha! see what I did there?).

Yoongi, well, Yoongi did nothing. Had for centuries. There were only two things on this planet, in this world, that Yoongi cared about. His family. The part he acknowledged. The part he was responsible for: his kin. He had complete control over their lives, but he didn't like to use it. If they wanted to keep in contact, they would. Most didn’t. Only two bothered and even if they were the only things that made Yoongi care, he often wished they didn’t. They were… lively for the undead.
But again, all of that wasn’t the point. The point was that there was one original pureblood vampire and he was a dick.

Modern Vampire AU
I know the wordcount looks dense, but I SWEAR this fic will -hook- you. It's a real page turner with fully thought out, complex characters and interconnecting storylines for a satisfyingly juicy and emotional plot. I'm still reeling from the journey and how neatly the author tied everything up in the end. If you have two days with nothing to do, i highly recommend you binge this. It has action! It has romance! It has politics! It has history! It has found family! It has fluff, crack, and angst up the wazoo!Now I will say that I haven't been feeling particularly smutty lately, so I kinda glossed over the smut scenes so I can't give an honest review on that, but it's definitely speckled here and there from the middle to the end.
