“Was that all just crazy sex talk or did you mean any of it?” Regulus blurted out.
James froze, not sure how to explain that it was both. James had thought of this before, so many times: when he was in a room with Regulus and their friends, he had to keep himself occupied to avoid staring at Regulus the whole time. When he was drunk, he would wish Regulus was around to flirt with. James felt like he had to fight the gravitational pull that was Regulus, even if he didn’t want to.

Regulus is supposed to be focused on the beautiful Greek goddess seductively posed in front of him. But how is he supposed to look at a half-naked woman cosplaying Aphrodite when there is a genuine Adonis behind the camera, with pecs that would make Hercules jealous, a smile that could melt Icarus’ wings and thighs that should be wrapped around Regulus’ head.

Summary
"Everything's fine," responded Regulus, but something dangerous flashed in his gray eyes. "James, let me go."
"No."
This word sounded so decisive that even James himself was surprised. He had never said "no" to Regulus. Always compromised, always tried to smooth over rough edges, avoid conflict. But now something primitive, animal, rose in him, drowning out the voice of reason.
"We're leaving," he added, not loosening his grip.
"Listen, buddy," Alexander took a step forward, and his hand landed on Regulus's shoulder in a protective gesture. "Seems like the guy doesn't want to leave with you."
James saw a red haze before his eyes. A stranger's hand on Regulus, a possessive gesture.
"Take your hands off him," he hissed, taking a step toward Alexander. "Now."
"Or what?" Alexander smirked, not removing his hand. "Who are you anyway? His bodyguard?"
"I'm the one who'll smash your face if you don't back off," James's voice turned low and threatening. He felt blood pounding in his temples, his hands clenching into fists. "Last warning."

Regulus is trying to find himself after leaving 12 Grimmauld Place. The job pays the bills, but he finds himself distracted by a new regular who acts unlike all the others. Unable to resist that particular challenge, he pursues it.
