“Damn it, mate, everything is all wrong,” Ed groans. “Is it normal for my nose to be this drippy? I don’t think this is normal.”
“It’s normal, I promise,” Stede says gently. “I think you’ve just got a bit of a cold.” He chuckles quietly to himself. “Blackbeard with a cold. Never a sight I thought I would see, but, here we are.”

“Stay?” Sang-Woo’s eyes are unfocused, and his head rolls until it greets Gi-Hun’s shoulder, coming to rest on Gi-Hun’s skin so that he can feel the heat. “Why would you want-” he stops mid-sentence to cough into his blanket before clearing his throat and sighing, “Why would you want to stay? It’s like you’re asking to get sick.”
“I’ll be careful, I’m not as dumb as you think,” Gi-Hun says with a small smile.

“And I told you to stop talking,” Elliot says, setting the thermometer down and planting a kiss on Atlas’s feverish forehead. “You’re burning up, and you sound terrible. Although I will say, your sick voice is hot.”
“So you want me to keep talking?” Atlas says with a small smile. His eyes are bright with fever but there’s something in his smile that reminds Elliot of the old Atlas, the one who isn’t stuck in bed with a fever and a cough.
“God, no. I’m not gonna make you sacrifice your health, no matter how hot you might sound,” Elliot says.

Atlas is stuck in bed with a bad case of laryngitis, and Elliot is there to make sure he doesn't destroy his vocal cords any further. -

“You caught that cold going around, huh?” It’s an observation, not a question, and Elliot feels his cheeks go hot as he’s forced to pull out another tissue.
“I’b fide.” Elliot’s cheeks go even hotter at the congestion seeping into his voice, and he blows his nose with a wet honk.

As always, Elliot catches the start of semester cold that always knocks him out. And as always, Atlas is there to make sure he gets through unscathed.
