As soon as these words left Xie Lian’s lips, silence fell between them. When Hua Cheng looked at him, albeit hesitantly, he noticed that Xie Lian’s entire face was red, and he didn’t want to meet his gaze.
Slowly closing the sketchbook, but still holding it—clutching it to his chest—Xie Lian cleared his throat. “I wonder when San Lang really… stopped thinking of me as just his friend.”

He was always whispering sweet nothings into Xie Lian’s ear to make him blush like crazy, holding his hand as if afraid to let go, taking him out on dates whenever they both had some free time after all the responsibilities at the university. To put it simply, they took their sweet time exploring the unfamiliar yet very wonderful path called love.
Xie Lian didn’t mind it at all. Their pace was sweet. Hua Cheng was cute.

Xie Lian smiled politely, looking down at the computer screen in front of him. Before even glancing at the next customer, he began to say the practiced greeting. "Good morning. How can I help you today?"
Upon seeing the customer's face, Xie Lian's stomach sank. Because he didn't see a face at all. The person in front of him wore a dark hood, and their face was obscured by an eerie white smiling mask. It was obvious what was happening. A person would only walk into a bank dressed like that for one reason.
"I apologise for the disturbance," the stranger said, his voice surprisingly friendly and warm. "I need you to calmly collect as much money as you can and bring it to me without making a scene."

Still, the fingers kept moving against Xie Lian's skin, tickling him until he could no longer hold back his giggle. Xie Lian's gaze moved to Yin Yu, noting the quizzical quirk of his brow. Swiftly, Xie Lian reached below the blankets, grabbing the offending hand by the wrist and stilling its movements.
