    A fallen tree appeared out of nowhere.

    I screamed as the car spun out of control, flipping several times before landing upside down. My vision went dark temporarily before I woke up to the feeling of glass digging into my skin and the metal of the car pressing against me.

    Slowly, I looked over to my left and saw my best friend unconscious with blood trailing down her face. I tried to reach over to her, but my arm wouldn’t obey me. “Kelly… Kelly, wake up…” I quietly sobbed. “Come on…”
