Summary
Doktor and his brothers have belonged to Anti for a long time now. It's good, he tells himself. It's the best way to live. It's the only way to live. But when Anti finally locates and kidnaps Jameson Jackson, the last man standing free, the strings around the puppets' throats are loosening fast, and they find themselves quickly torn between forgotten brotherhood and implanted loyalty. Doktor can't take much more of this pain, this life of despair and agony - but Anti does not intend to let him or his brothers go.

Summary
A gift for reverseblackholeofwords, based on her characterization of the Iplier and Septic Egos over on her tumblr. I started this a couple of months ago during her DANGER IN FICTION storyline, and decided to write this as what Eric might be up to while Doc and the Host were otherwise engaged.
——
Eric Derekson has been living with the other Egos for a while now, and life has been good. Or, it’s been better. There’s a lot going on, and the others are all really busy trying to keep everyone safe. Eric doesn’t have much to offer, but he doesn’t mind slipping into the background. His problems aren’t important. Except today, one of his prosthetics malfunctioned. And it hurts.

Summary
The kyber crystal chooses the Jedi. Wielding a saber whose crystal didn't choose you will never be as easy as wielding your own. This means sabers a) have the capacity to like or dislike people and b) have the capacity to be obstinate little shits to people they dislike.
If a certain Jedi's saber really likes you, I'm not saying it means you're soulmates, but I'm not saying it DOESN'T mean you're soulmates, either.
Most works reference each other but stand alone fairly well, so reading previous isn't necessarily required, but I would recommend reading at least the first before Cards on the Table. To readers who want all the fluff and nothing else, skip that last one. Series is listed as complete but I may wander back someday should my muse desire.

Summary
The hand removed itself from his forehead. “Temperature is normal,” Gale announced, before using its fingers to gather some stray drool that had trailed down Astarion’s jaw. Before Astarion could register the pitiful jolt of arousal at the sudden skin contact or the sheer absurdity of what Gale was doing, Gale had stuck its fingers in its mouth.
“What the —”
“No new bacteria detected,” Gale went on, “Ruling out food poisoning.”
“Oh, Gods,” Astarion groaned. “And to think that these things are what’s sending our workforce into a tizzy. What next, 'droid? Are you about to give me a rectal examination too?”
“There is no need for one at the moment,” Gale said, confused. “Unless you are seeking prostate stimulation—”
“No!”
Amidst the softly thrumming melancholy of a dystopian, cyber-punk city, former corporate-rat Astarion Ancunín, who has long since lost the will to live, finds himself in possession of a G-413 or "Gale" - an amnesiac android who, strangely enough, enjoys living.

Summary
"First," said Gale. "Do not kill any thinking creatures in Waterdeep unless you must to protect yourself or you have my express permission."
As Gale spoke, he could feel the weight of his words sinking into the person sitting across from him. It was like casting a spell, but took no effort. Astarion had been staring hollowly into his goblet of blood, but at this he made a faintly interested noise. As if the rule were novel and he was considering the shape of it.
"Second, you will obey me in all things," said Gale. There didn't feel like there was any honest way of softening that. Astarion didn't make any sound at all.
"Third, do not leave the tower without permission." Astarion made another speculative noise, considering this one too. But then his shoulders hunched and his eyes skittered down, as if he didn't want to look at what was about to happen.
"Fourth," Gale said, and paused. He started with some context: "There is a tressym upstairs."
Astarion's head twitched. He looked up at Gale, blinking, startled. He had the air of someone who had been bracing for a blow and instead had just been handed a balloon animal.
"A what?" he asked.

Summary
Tavya watched Astarion's eyes scan the name written across the front. Once, twice, three times. Then he looked to her, nearly stunned into silence. “I— What is this?”She gently tugged the envelope from his grasp. “I wrote to them. Your family. Or, well, your parents, anyway," Tavya stuttered. "I searched and searched and I finally found names and an address, but it’s been so long since I've written… I didn’t think…”
“You… found them?” he asked numbly.
“I… I think so.”
* * * * *
Astarion is enjoying married life in Baldur's Gate when he discovers his parents are still alive. Alongside his wife, Tavya, he travels to Evereska to meet them - but family reunions are seldom simple.
