Satoru blinks, eyes sweeping over to the little girl, whose feet are back to happily kicking, as she scoops out a slice of peach from her yoghurt. “She doesn’t like chocolate or raisins.” He answers, “she’s more of a strawberry or banana girl but never strawberry-banana.”
“Not answering my question,” Kento huffs, annoyed.
OR: Toji doesn’t have anyone else to look after his children while he cares for his sick wife. Satoru knows right away that he needs to call in the calvary.

Summary
Gojo Satoru is newly 23, newly single, newly sober, and newly the father to a troubled four year old.
Satoru was living the high life. If you consider the high life getting high to avoid all of the troubled feelings about his troubled past. But, after the accidental murder of a certain well-known assassin (who just so happened to have a kid)- he has to reevaluate his priorities.
Parenting isn’t easy… especially when the kid doesn’t legally exist, and Satoru has to jump through several not very legal hoops to keep him. Because Megumi is Satoru’s kid now, it’s not like he’s just gonna give him up.
No matter how many jobs he has to take on, or how many times Megumi throws up on his shirt- or how many crime lords he has to deal with- he won't ever give up on this kid. No way in hell.

Reading the other fics in this series isn’t necessary, this fic stands on its own. This fic is connected to my other work, “Geto Suguru’s Descent into Madness,” and it goes into the backstory of this fic, but this is written to be understood on its own.

It’s hard to believe it, but the evidence is right before his eyes: Gojo, lying on his back, in his bed with one arm limply hanging over his eyes. To Nanami’s annoyance, Gojo still has his boots on, but that’s a less grievous sin in light of the fact that his uniform is covered in various fluids. He’s hesitant to call all of it blood, because some of it is purple and green, and some of it is sliding closer and closer to his blanket with every heaving, sporadic breath that Gojo takes. Nanami’s not sure what to do or say. Eventually his mouth decides for him.

Suguru nodded, eyes not leaving his task. He knew this was coming.
“They have the strongest weapon of our age. I need you to get it for us.”
“Of course,” Suguru said. He zipped the bag. “I take it they aren’t too pleased to relinquish it?”
Yaga had blown out a sigh. Looked older than his age and nodded. “Mei Mei has been doing a good job of negotiation. We’ve gotten to the point where they will give us an audience. That’s more than we were hoping.”
“Alright. I’ll do what I can."
But he made no promises.
