During a battle, the Hulk gets de-aged and turns into an eight-year-old Bruce. The team takes him to the Helicarrier after the battle, but SHIELD's agents promptly lose the boy.
And fail to locate him for several hours.
Tony would be more worried about this if he didn't know that JARVIS was keeping the child safe and sound.

Taking a shot at filling my own prompt on avengerkink:
In an AU, instead of taking out Tony's arc-reactor, Obadiah Stane kidnapped Tony, faked his death in a "lab accident", imprisoned him, and forced him to design weapons for Stane.
Bruce is going about his day hacking Stark Industries to learn more about the Hulkbuster weapons when he comes across some discrepancies in the code--subtle things, like inefficient loops in otherwise streamlined code, bizarre variable names, or incorrect comments.
Intrigued, he goes through all the code of SI's weapons industry, comes up with a pattern, and finds the messages Tony has been hiding in the code.
And then he goes and busts Tony out. Lots of badassery, including on Tony's part--he may be defeated, but he's not broken.

Summary
Eliot and Quinn run into each other on the job for years, and they're enemies more often than not, but they're cheerful about it. Quinn's happy to banter a bit while they fight; Eliot's happy to give a little constructive criticism. They keep a count of the bones the other one has broken like it's a running joke.
They aren't friends, so when Eliot drops off the face of the earth for two years, Quinn can't even mourn.
When he finally hears a whisper, he sees a chance for things to change.
