Camp Half-Blood needed help.
It was usually rampant with monsters itching to tear their teeth into the soft skinny flesh of teenage demigods, going for the sickest deer in the pack, the youngest kill, but their numbers were getting worrisome as of lately and so they had called for all available demigods, the mature ones that made it into adulthood and had not yet been killed, to return to the camp and protect it.
They would pay a suitable wage as a camp counselor, and Ishmael, deemed to be moored on land for a good chunk of the summer, packed her things into a carpetbag and set out for a place she remembered with too much bugs and too little sunscreen.

“It’s a good picture,” George says. But there’s this dumb expression of fondness on Dream's face that just isn’t sitting well with him. It makes George feel like he needs to say something, maybe be a little more honest. As the silence stretches on, it feels like a second chance to speak up. But George’s mouth is lead, and before he can get anything out, Dream has looked up to hand the phone back.
“Thanks,” he says, poking a straw into his drink. “I’m gonna see if mine is any good now.”
“It’s your own fault if it’s bad,” George jabs, internally sighing in relief from the fact that he didn’t say anything unnecessary. He would hate leading Dream on for nothing.
Because George knows: Dream has a crush on him.

Puffy is a pirate.
Niki is a princess.
Faced with her coronation only days away, Niki's life is a rush of preparations and decisions. Does she want red decorations? Hm, maybe lighter. A nice pink?
It is customary for the future monarch to give a speech to her people, announcing her intentions and love for her nation. After her rallying words are followed by thunderous applause, Niki feels relieved and... exhausted.
She excuses herself for a brief walk, soon finding herself at the harbor, where she meets a seemingly kind woman.
After striking up a conversation, the woman offers Niki a ride on her ship.Unaware of the consequences, Niki accepts.
