Gojo Satoru is okay with where he is in life. Sure it started out rough and sure he needed to do some questionable things to get where he is, but that's done now. Honestly he's pretty proud of himself for being able to find freedom when so many others couldn't.
It's fine.And yes, while he's really just moved from doing crime for someone else to doing crime for himself that's still a good step forward. At least he gets to decide if he doesn't want to do real depraved shit like kill kids now.
Yeah, it's fine.And yes maybe past experiences have convinced him he's better off keeping his relationships no deeper than a cookie sheet, despite whatever situation he's found himself in with one Geto Suguru.
It's fine, they're just fucking, it's fine.And MAYBE someone in the underworld is now pissed enough at him they are willing to offer a shit ton of cash for him to be less than alive.
It's fine, he can out play that.

Summary
Suguru takes a second curse as soon as he sat down next to the toilet and swallows that, too, a third following quickly.
Satoru watches him, completely enraptured by the sight and it’s only when Suguru glares at him that he realises that he’s staring.
“What are you looking at?” Suguru bites out and Satoru presses his lips together so the immediate answer of ‘You’ doesn’t slip out.
In all honesty, though, Satoru wouldn’t even know how to put it into words, what it is he’s looking at, what he wants. Because how do you explain to your best friend that you might be fantasising about turning into a curse yourself just so that he can swallow you whole, so that you can live inside of him, safely nestled in his cursed energy.
The thought alone makes Satoru blush; there’s no way he could ever say those words to Suguru.

Summary
Suguru is having a bad day. In all honesty, he’s having a bad week, but he tries not to think too much about why that is. Today though, today has been very bad and it’s all he can think about when he comes home.
The fact that Satoru doesn’t bound up to him to greet him only serves to sour his mood more, but it’s the reality Suguru has been living with for the last two weeks at least.
And that’s the problem.
Satoru won’t touch him anymore; hell, he barely even spends time together with Suguru and Suguru misses him like one would a missing limb.

Summary
Suguru feels rage bubble up inside of him when Yaga slides two stacks of papers towards Satoru and him.
“Your new missions,” he says, not meeting their eyes because he damn well knows how fucking wrong this is and Suguru’s fingers itch with the need to call on a curse.
The stacks are high enough to guarantee work until at least the end of next week and apparently he and Satoru are being split up again.
Suguru expected that eventually, but they just fought for the right to stay together and to have it thrown into their faces like that, to see that the Elders can do whatever the fuck they want is really upsetting.
He opens his mouth, not even sure what he’s going to say to Yaga when Satoru puts his hand to the small of Suguru’s back.
“Absolutely not,” Satoru says, and he sounds just as angry as Suguru feels.

Summary
“Stay tonight,” Suguru mumbles, scratching at Satoru’s scalp and Satoru wants to weep.
He wants to say yes so badly, wants to stay right where he is, in Suguru’s arms where he feels as if he belongs, but he can’t do it.
Satoru has blurred all the lines with Suguru so far, but this is something he has to stay firm on. If he stays for a night, wakes up with Suguru and shares breakfast, things will get even more muddy for him.
“I’d rather not,” Satoru forces himself to say and brings up inhuman strength to move out of Suguru’s arms. “I have to get up early tomorrow anyway.”
