  1. Summary

Isagi Yoichi and Michael Kaiser are not so typical childhood friends. They didn't grow up in the same neighborhood, neither did they go to the same elementary school : Yoichi lives in Japan, and Michael lives in Germany. It just so happens that a few times, Yoichi stayed at Michael's grandparents' house since his own grandparents were close friends with them.

Three fateful summers is all it takes to change Yoichi's life forever. Never has this truth felt more real than when Yoichi comes back after four years, three months passed since his seventeeth birthday. It's barely a coincidence that Michael also happens to be here : annoying Michael Kaiser, with sharp teeth and tongue. Annoying, beautiful Michael, now eighteen and the root of most of his problems.

    Summary

Kim Dokja’s phone buzzed — a message from an unknown account: About the Rachmaninoff review. He almost ignored it. He rarely entertained private messages.

But something made him open it.

I read your review of the Rachmaninoff concert three times. I’ve read everything you’ve written about my playing over the years, the criticism, the praise, the observations that made me hear my own performances differently. You wrote once that my Beethoven sounded like a monument to human achievement and a testament to nothing. I kept that sentence on my desk for months. It made me practice differently. It made me listen to myself differently.

I don’t know who you are. I don’t need to know. But I wanted to tell you that your presence at the concert — knowing you were listening, knowing you would write with your honest cruelty changed how I played. The trill in the adagio. I held it because I knew you would hear whether I let go or not.

Thank you for listening. Thank you for being honest. Thank you for hoping, even when I gave you no reason to.

    — Y.

    Summary

"You want to leave your very well paying job because you think your boss' daughter has started thinking of you like her other parent?"

    "Correct."

Sooyoung leans back into her chair and asks, exasperated, "so are you both finally dating?"

The answer's been the same for years. "No."

    "Fuck." swears Yoo Sangah.

"So, how do I hand in my resignation letter?"

    Summary

Kim Dokja transmigrates as the ex-wife of a villain in a romance novel. The plot goes like this: the villain goes crazy and kills his wife. Years later, the main character cures him. They have a happy ever after.

Dokja is the wife. The villain kills him. He is the one set to die.

He doesn't want to die, so he decides to do everything he can to survive until the villain meets the main character, throws divorce papers at Dokja's face, and Dokja, obviously heartbroken, can safely exit with his large sum of alimony to the faraway lands.

The villain meets the main character. Dokja waits. The divorce papers never arrive.

If anything, even mentioning divorce seems to upset his contracted husband.

    Summary

“You really can’t dance to save your life,” a younger Yoo Joonghyuk said, holding Kim Dokja by the waist, trying to get him to follow his steps.

Kim Dokja could only laugh as he tried to remember the moves Yoo Joonghyuk had shown him earlier. His mind was blank, the only thing he could think about was how handsome Yoo Joonghyuk looked under the bright sunlight. “Well, it’s still nice to watch you dance instead!”

“Focus,” Yoo Joonghyuk scolded, his ears turning red at the remark.

Kim Dokja noticed the flush spreading across the other boy’s ears and couldn’t help but laugh even harder. The afternoon on the beach had never seemed so pleasant to him.

Years later, after yet another incident forced A-list idol Kim Dokja to take a hiatus again, he found himself back at the place that had first fueled his passion. The East Coast, where he had left fragile and all-too-painful memories of his childhood, seemed no different. Until he saw the boy who had taught him everything, now a man.
