Another memory intruded, more recent as it took place a few days ago; Nathalie had shared a bed tent with Gabriel and Emilie. Emilie had taken her arm hostage in her slumber, snuggling it as one would a beloved stuffed animal. Gabriel had been curled around his wife at the time, his arm slung across her middle while his fingertips ghosted the exposed skin of Nathalie’s wrist from the latter’s disturbance. She risked a peek at their sleeping faces, wanting so wantonly to caress them with the fondness she buried in her heart.
Dying alone sure was lonely when you had people you loved that were none-the-wiser.

Marinette (and co.) find themselves amidst the Jura Mountains conducting an extensive ecological resource survey on behalf of their client Monarch Development, LLC, a well-known luxury real estate developer. Their firm insists that the survey is for general flora and fauna population count assessment, however the crew has their doubts. The proposed project sites also happen to be the last known habitat of nearly-extinct species Coccinella tikki and Lynx plagg. Marinette has had a rough time of separating her personal feelings and professional life with her precious conflict of interest Tikki, however things begin to spiral further when long-time crush Adrien Agreste is assigned as her partner in the field.
Romantic endeavors and vaguely threatening land development corporations aside, what could possibly go wrong?
