“I…” Bruce hesitated, and attempted to soften his voice. “I’d like to take you in. Give you a place to stay.”
Jason’s jaw dropped. The kid froze for a solid ten seconds. Bruce was about to take back what he said, until Jason finally spoke up.
“This is a joke, right? You’re the Batman. You don’t want a kid. You don’t want me.” The boy said defensively, with a hint of vulnerability that was only revealed through his eyes.
or: absolute Bruce takes one look at Jason, and goes yup, my child now.
