Summary
The Vampire King.
Rumoured to be dead, rumoured to have been killed as the result of The Last Blood War. He had been captured, betrayed by his own people and slain by them for the humans to see; his death was their flag of surrender.
...Or so the humans think.
It had been more than a few thousand years since then, and the world had certainly changed. Evolved, progressed, moved forward with humans on top and vampires as a hidden rarity.
Despite Vampires being kept down by the humans, there's also an organization that exists for investigation, and even hunting purposes in the worst situations. Unnecessary, the vampires felt, but they remained quiet and cooperative. For what purpose, though?
The organization's greatest detective, also known as Kaveh, had now been given a strange case. One that was far stranger than his previous ones.
Old papers, bones, rumours and stories, evidence suggesting that the Vampires are hiding something serious. Something dangerous, even.
Whatever it is, he's been asked to figure it out quickly. Otherwise, the safety they had spent so long to ensure, to protect, could be ruined in seconds.

In Kaveh's eyes, he felt..jilted, in a way.
But, but....they're not lovers, so.. To think like that filled him with feelings so strong, too strong, that swirled around his heart too quickly for him to even recognize.
...Or perhaps that was the excuse he told himself in order to avoid any honesty with himself. The excuse he'd use to justify his feelings, to cover them up with rage; the anger that constantly hid his true feelings.
The excuse that Kaveh could use to justify meeting with a..friend.
