“Everyone in the world, at some point in their life after the age of 11, wakes up with a distinct mark on their back. This mark reflects the personality of the person who gets it’s soulmate, and includes the first words they say to you, and extends to the first spot where the person’s soulmate touches their skin. This mark can appear at any time, even after said person has already met their soulmate.”
Kids around the world are taught variations of this truth. Brought up, and raised knowing what the mark, whenever it appears means. They were taught why it was there and how to find the person it represented. Every kid, except those raised under the league of assassins. The young of the assassins were taught that it was a mark of their worth as an assassin. That by tracking down and killing the person that it represented, it proved their absolute ability and loyalty to the league. But what do you do when two assassins are meant for each other? This is their story.
