Summary
Wylan Van Eck is the veritable prince of Kerch - an influencer famous thanks to his father's wealth and political status, beloved by many, derided by some, and truly known by very few. Behind closed doors, everything he does is designed to make himself an asset to the Van Eck empire, to make himself something his father might not want but definitely needs to keep around.
Jesper is an up-and-coming actor, not making a splash but well on his way to making ripples, but most of the fortune he should be making is going towards paying off an astronomical amount of gambling debt. After Jan Van Eck makes some questionable comments that are thrown about in the press, his PR team devise a wildly problematic ploy that might just be the answer to Jesper's problems. Six dates over six months, with the boy Jesper grew up seeing lit up on his phone screen. What could go wrong?

“Why do you hate me so much?” Wylan demands. He crosses his arms over his chest, his brows furrow, and his lips downturn in a pout that’s probably supposed to be intimidating, but instead is irritatingly endearing.
Jesper huffs. “Do you want the list alphabetically, or in order of annoyingness?”
“Before this week, before the wedding, we’d had exactly one interaction, seven years ago, and on our second interaction ever, you shoved me into a cake.”

Or: Jesper is the First Son of the President of Novyi Zem and Wylan is the Crown Prince of Kerch. Their respective countries have an already politically contentious relationship that is made worse by an altercation between the two at the Kerch king's wedding. Jesper was halfway through a plate of shrimp when he realised the wedding he’d crashed was actually a funeral. Well, a wake, he supposed. Oblivious as he was, it took three different middle aged women dabbing at their eyes and sniffling while wearing all black for him to clock that perhaps, just maybe, the party he’d slipped into wasn’t a cheery affair. He froze, one shrimp in his hand suspended halfway to his mouth, a fancy porcelain plate piled precariously with food and balanced in his other. Who the hell held a wake at the Geldrenner?
OR: Jesper accidentally crashes Jan Van Eck's funeral and meets Wylan, the now insanely rich heir intent on destroying his father's legacy (and company).

Wylan Hendricks is a singer songwriter, and one of the biggest stars of his generation. He’s also the most secretive star, never having given an interview before. Almost nothing is known about him besides his name, his face, and his music.
After accidentally breaking into Hollywood together on a con gone sideways, Jesper Fahey hosts a moderately successful talk show with his friend/agent/producer Kaz Brekker. Kaz’s talent agency, The Crow Club, has a reputation for only picking the best up and comers, and guaranteeing their success. He also has a reputation for doing things outside of the law, not that anyone has been able to prove anything.
When Wylan needs help breaking out of a (probably illegal) contract with his father, he knows that Kaz is the only one who could go up against Jan Van Eck and win. With the freedom to do what he wants and Kaz as his agent, they decide it’s time for Wylan’s first interview. And what better place to start than the Jesper Fahey Show?
