“Love fades, mine has.” I stood there shell shocked.
It would have hurt less if he would have slapped me. I'm pretty sure he saw that because of something on my face. I felt frozen. I was completely mortified. I glanced at his face one last time.
His eyes held no emotion. His face gave nothing away. In four words he broke my heart. Nothing he did in Russia hurt half as much as this. I took hesitant steps backwards until I had enough space to turn and walk away from him.

I didn't pay attention to the person who called my name. I needed to get out.
