“There isn’t a single person in this bar I want to fuck,” Bill complains while he waits for the bartender to pour him another drink. His golden eyes survey the gyrating mass of people on the dancefloor.
“We can always try to find a different bar,” he offers, although he isn’t really sure what Bill is looking for. This bar is packed with people, hot and sweaty and more than a few of them would be willing to go home with him.

Summary
Alastor had the voice of an angel. That's what everyone said before they saw him. It was easy, on the radio, to sing and talk his heart out without the look. The look that people gave him. Usually, it was the white folk. In the booth, they'd look at him with disdain and resentment. How tormenting it must be, to their feeble minds, to be doing work to support a mixed-Creole man with brown skin. Other times, it was other black folk. His skin was too dark to be welcomed by the white man, and too light to be accepted by his own community.
So he found his comfort behind a microphone. Where no one could see him, and everyone would listen.

Or: An AU where the characters of Hazbin Hotel lived in 1930s New Orleans. Alastor is a singer/entertainer busting his ass off to make himself known. He comes to meet a young, lively man that goes by Vox. An entertainer, too, at least he says he is. Vox has many, many ideas that involved Alastor. Many that Alastor does not take kindly too, or, at least he says he doesn't.----
Author's note: Many, many 1930s music will be mentioned in this fic :) it will be a semi-slow burn. I'm obsessed with S2E4, can you tell?- Language:

“Not that I need to use that with you.” Alastor knit his brows, but he said nothing. Vox sank his fingers in amber liquid to fish the orange zest out. He held it between his claws to study it from different angles. “After all you’ve been so nice to tell me that a long time ago.”
He flicked it towards him.
The wet thing bounced on Alastor’s chest and fell on his lap, coiling at the base of his evident erection. [...] “You smell of oranges, don’t you?”
Alastor goes into Heat in Vee Tower and he has to deal with it and a bunch of feelings he's been trying to suppress. And Vox.

Summary
Vox had gotten worked up after his maddening number with Alastor in S2E4, but it did wonders to lift his mood to know that he could now do what he wanted with the once fearsome Radio Demon, now his helpless captive.
He has some enticing ideas to wipe the smile off the face of his defiant little deer.

“That’s right, Al.” Vox let his fingers stroke lightly over the newly exposed skin of Alastor’s throat, delighting in the small shiver that Alastor couldn’t suppress, and popped open the next button. “I own you.”
