Summary
Two days after they failed to defeat Vecna, after Max died and came back, after Eddie died—and didn’t. Two days after they were forced to leave his body behind in the Upside Down because everything had gone to shit, a bright yellow pizza delivery van that looked like it’d been through its own apocalypse pulled into the Wheeler's driveway.
Jonathan, Mike, Will, and El finally made it home to Hawkins with the help of a friend.
On day three, Max woke up.
She’d have a long road to recovery, but the doctors seemed fairly confident she’d walk again. Though, no one could be sure how much of her eyesight would return, if any. The same day, in a twist no one saw coming, Joyce showed up, fresh off a plane from Alaska after escaping Russia—yes, Russia—with a miraculously alive and mostly well Jim Hopper.
And four days after the world both did and didn’t end, the ghost of Eddie Munson appeared in Steve’s living room.

“Come oooooon, Jonny, please?” Argyle pleads on their third morning sleeping in the van. “I'm telling you my dude, no one will care! They're gone alright? They packed all of their pretty little things and they drove the fuck away from here, and they're not coming back! We can just pick one, any one, even the Chief agrees.”
Jon turns on his back and speaks at the ceiling. “Hopper's not even chief anymore dude, and we can't just up and walk into someone's house and settle there.”
“Why not my dude? They'll never even know.”
“Cause it's illegal! Immoral? It would be weird? I don't know man, we just can't!”
“Immoral? Illegal? Jonny my man, you call yourself a punk? What would Bowie do, man? What would Bowie do!?”
This is an Argyle-centric fic, set in Hawkins post-rift.
This is a tale of survival.
The army quarantines the town, but of course they've got to stay, got to try and save the world.
Argyle is there for most of it, helps where he can, mostly by providing comfort (food) and relief (Purple Palm Tree Delight) to the good people of Hawkins, army included.

Summary
Season five fix-it where instead of exotic matter, they find Eddie Munson locked in a Mindflayer cocoon and hooked up to the hivemind on the roof of Hawkins lab.
Hoping that they can bring Eddie back to consciousness and get information on the whereabouts of Vecna, Steve volunteers to enter Eddie's mind, trying to make up for the guilt that's been eating at him ever since he left Eddie's body behind in the Upside Down.
Eddie's mind, of course, is a treacherous place full of riddles and fantasy-inspired worlds that Steve is hardly equipped to navigate. Especially when Eddie, assuming that Steve is a figment of his own imagination, starts flirting with him like there's no tomorrow.
OR: Steve falls in love by seeing ALL of Eddie Munson.
