The child only coos.

An eerie silence passed through the room, all five teenagers standing side by side with bated breath, staring at their friend, once full of life and outlandish jokes. Eddie felt his skin crawl, a clammy feeling settling in his palms.
The back of their friend faced him, a gut wrenching rejection. Horror manifested in his stomachs when he took a closer look.
The reflection from the window, the face reflected, was uncanny. Plastic.
This wasn’t Richie. Richie didn’t have the eyes of a dead fish.
