Summary
The problem with Alastor – okay, nope, hold up – that wasn't gonna cut it. The guy had ninety-nine problems and was determined to make all of them Husk's.
But the one, specific problem with Alastor right now, was that he had a tendency to treat other people's personal space as a personal affront. Something he could swan into, fiddle around in – but Jesus fucking Christ, if you ever thought about returning the favour, you'd lose your goddamn hand.
Husk had just about built up to the point where he could lay a finger on the guy, and that was after knowing him for over forty Hellish years.
Not that he had even wanted to build up to that point. He wasn't interested in laying anything on that fuck, so a pointed finger to the chest was where he was happy to leave it.
If only Alastor had offered him the same damn courtesy.

“Oh, yeah,” said Husk, relief coming over him in a wave as the chain dissipated. “He’s taught me all sorts of raunchy shit. You wouldn’t believe the things I get off to now.”
“Hmm.” Alastor squinted at him and slowly straightened, his expression smoothing back into a tense sort of amusement. “Is this what you think will repel me, Husker? I knew you were a fool, but to be this short-sighted? I’m disappointed in you.”
Husk’s heart sunk. “I-I just...”
Angel gives Husk some advice. Unfortunately, Alastor decides to turn it against him, and Angel is left to pick up the pieces.

When Husk opened his eyes, there was no sign of injury. His fur was unmarked, his hands clear of wounds. He didn't even taste any copper, nothing to stain his teeth with.
But when he looked around, he saw prison bars trapping him. Except. They weren't metal bars. They were curved and white. Half-broken. A wrong step, and he'd impale himself on their sharp ends. This cage was incomplete. Fragile. He could step out if he really wanted to.
Husk could feel Alastor breathing around him. He could feel the pulse of a meaty heart by his shoulder. He could feel the blood coursing around him, veins moving like the boughs of a tree. Husk reached out his hand to one of those curved ribs, enclosing it in his grip.
He’d never been this close to anyone before.
