Everyday he feels his sanity slip a little farther to the left under the automobiles and smart telephones and intertwined network and whatever other miserable innovation time’s inexorable march has deemed it necessary to bombard them with. He copes admirably, if he may say so, but it is so often a near thing.
But today, his stressors are pointed, focused. Just as his gaze is pointed, focused on the man in front of him. Bane, to his credit, does not fidget under the weight of Joseph's stare.
Bane, in fact, looks remarkably calm for a man that has just dropped a bomb on Joseph. Yes, remarkably calm for a man who had strolled into the manor's parlor and announced his intention to finally (finally) propose to Burke. This means, Joseph knows, that Bane would like to have a wedding. Which means, Joseph also knows, Bane would like to have a wedding in the manor.

Going from parent and child to zombie-son-left-unavenged and shitty-father-figure was rough, and trying to find even ground after Bruce and Jason had been so fundamentally changed by Jason’s death had been almost impossible.
But after a year of improved communication, rooftop tacos, and the foiling of a terrorist attack, they find a new normal for taking care of each other.

Wally is one of my very best friends. He is very important to me. You aren't going to stab him. This isn’t a debate,” Dick says, when Damian raises an eyebrow, “Or a rule. You can’t physically do it.
