“Okay,” he says, and makes himself climb underneath the sheets. Uncle smiles approvingly.
“Good boy,” he says, smoothing the sheets for him. “Sleep tight. Tomorrow is going to be a good day.”
If Uncle says it, then that must mean it’s true.

Shen Yuan died and woke up bound to the protagonist of his least favorite trash novel. The System's rules are simple: keep Luo Binghe alive, or face permanent soul deletion. It sounds like a straightforward escort mission. Shen Yuan is fully prepared to protect the sweet, innocent white lotus from the cruelties of the cultivation world.
There is only one problem. Luo Binghe is already a manipulative, terrifyingly observant child.
Shen Yuan was supposed to be a guardian angel. Now, he desperately needs his own guardian angel to survive being the prized possession of a very clingy, thoroughly unhinged protagonist.

He lets out a heavy sigh. He raises a hand to pat the top of Luo BingHe’s head. Luo BingHe, his sweet if foolish husband, lets his gaze fall to Shen QingQiu’s other hand, now gently caressing his own. His eyes glisten, but no tears fall. Shen QingQiu understood this a long time ago: Luo BingHe never cries when it truly matters.
This Master is alright, Shen QingQiu says as gently as he can, you don’t have to worry anymore.
Except there is a big, very real reason to worry, namely: Shen QingQiu’s voice.aka Shen QingQiu is hit by a curse. Confessions ensue, memories resurface and that one name finally comes to light.

Yeah, this was definitely not his body. The face in the mirror was a scholar’s one, with well-trimmed eyebrows and thin lips. He looked like the kind of person that would walk past him on the street without sparing him even a single look, let alone money.
Shen Jiu instantly disliked him.

He would've probably wandered around for hours, sneezing, wondering what this thing is going to do to him. Instead, despite his lack of foresight, he almost immediately realizes what happened. Because one moment he is wiping away pollen from his face. And the next moment there is a Man Eating Six Legged Panther pouncing on him. And Shen Qingqiu realizes that he feels absolutely no fear whatsoever.
Shen Qingqiu gets doused by a pollen that makes him fearless. Tired of constantly fearing for his life he tell no one. Against his better judgment he decides to go to the mission in this state.
It's just a short mission to JinLan City! What could go wrong?
It's not like the pollen has some unexpected side effects, right?

"Wife." Mobei-jun presumed the human preferred him to be the wife from the near constant feminine pronouns he kept using in reference to this prince. "Not husband."
